“We were both counselors at Kenwal Day Camp, I went up to Nicolette at the drama station… and here we are 8 years later getting engaged”

Spencer: “Our first date was for sushi, and I remember Nicolette very quietly saying “Do you mind if I use my hands, I can’t use chopsticks” Psa – she now uses chopsticks ”

What they love to do together
“We are both very active and love to do things. We both love to travel, eat great food, do new activities, and holiday festivities. As far as favorite places to go, I would say we both just love adventuring out no matter where it might be.”

Why Nicolette is so special to Spencer
“Nicolette is truly one of a kind. Her determination and strength is one of the many things I admire. Nicolette has been through so much at a young age but always manages to push through and never let it hold her back. Nicolette is the sweetest, most caring, and genuine person I know. She would do anything for anyone she loves without any hesitation. I never doubt Nicolette and always know she is there for whatever it may be. 8 years later watching Nicolette feel amazing, pursue her dreams, and live her best life is truly so special to be apart of. And we are just getting started!!”

Why Spencer choose this place to propose
“I moved to Hoboken 10 months ago, Nicolette moved in for about 3 months before moving to Philadelphia for PA school. I choose Hoboken as it’s our first home together and where we are starting our life together.”

About the Proposal
Spencer wanted to go all out for this once in a lifetime moment. He invited as many of their family and friends as possible to make the day super special. Family flew in as far as Florida to be there to celebrate Nicolette and Spencer.

On the day of, I got there early and was able to see all the love and joy the family and friends had for them. Some of the girls helped set up the flowers leading up to Spencer which made it super romantic and beautiful. Spencer was nervous and excited that the day was here, and it couldn’t have gone more perfect; Nicolette was completely surprised! See all the photos here:

Shipyard Hoboken Portraits
After the proposal and pictures with family and friends, I was able to take Nicolette and Spencer a little away so I could grab some portraits together. They braved the cold to get these and it was so worth it!

What a magical day it was. Family and friends joined the celebration to celebrate their love. I’m thrilled and excited to see what their future holds. So many exciting times ahead.
